SHOWBIZ: Sam Fender & Olivia Dean Make UK Chart History
Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have officially made UK music history after their hit duet Rein Me In became the longest-running Number One single in Official Chart history.
The song has now spent 19 weeks at the top of the UK Singles Chart, breaking a 73-year-old record previously held by Frankie Laine's 1953 classic I Believe.
Originally released on Sam Fender's 2025 album People Watching, Rein Me In was later re-recorded as a duet with Olivia Dean, who added a brand-new verse. The collaboration proved an instant hit with fans, steadily climbing the charts before eventually reaching Number One after an extraordinary 35-week journey.
Speaking after the record was confirmed, Sam Fender thanked Olivia Dean and fans for their support, describing the success as "unbelievable" and calling the song a "juggernaut."
The achievement cements both artists as two of the biggest names in British music, with Rein Me In already having won Song of the Year at the 2026 Brit Awards and now securing its place in chart history.
