Deputy Leader of Reform UK Under Investigation by Parliamentary Watchdog

03 Aug 2026

Richard Tice, who has been the Deputy Leader of Reform UK since 2024, is currently under investigation by a parliamentary standards watchdog.

The case was opened on July 28th, and no details of the investigation will be made public until a conclusion has been reached, but the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards said it related to rule six of the parliamentary code of conduct, which states:

"(MPs) must always be open and frank in declaring any relevant interest in any proceeding of the House or its Committees, and in any communications with Ministers, Members, public officials or public office holders."

On the social media site X, Tice claimed the investigation is related to a complaint over: “whether I should have referenced my register of interests at the start of a debate on UK democracy and Israeli influence.” Reform say that Tice did not mention that he had been on a trip to Israel last September, funded by a pro-Israel lobbying group.

In response to this, a spokesperson for the Labour party said: “The Reform sleaze scandals continue to pile up… With police probes, Nigel Farage’s secret £5 million gift, and reports of funding from a convicted fraudster, it’s clear Reform think the rules just don’t apply to them.”
