Amy Hunt Makes History at European Championships
British sprinter Amy Hunt has become the first athlete to win 4 gold medals at a single European Championship.
Hunt has been one to watch for a while now. In 2019, she broke the under 18s world record in the 200 meter sprint, completing it in just 22.4 seconds.
Her gold streak this year started on August 10th, when she won the 100 meters, then the 200 meters on August 13th. On the 15th, she won in the 4 x 100 women's relay, and secured her fourth win the day after in the 4 x 100 mixed relay.
When asked how she felt about her achievements, Hunt described herself as “over the moon”, and that she would: “remember this week for the rest of my life”.
