Madonna Pulls Out Of Pride Appearance
Madonna Pulls Out of Surprise London Pride Appearance
Madonna reportedly cancelled a planned surprise appearance at London's Pride celebrations following concerns over crowd safety.
The Queen of Pop had been widely rumoured to be making a special appearance at the event in Trafalgar Square, where more than a million people were expected to attend. While organisers never officially confirmed she would be appearing, speculation had been building for days.
According to reports, Madonna's team decided not to go ahead with the appearance after raising concerns that her arrival could create dangerous crowd congestion and overwhelm security arrangements.
Pride in London later moved to end the speculation, posting on social media that Madonna would not be appearing or performing at the event.
Despite missing the celebrations, Madonna had been in London earlier in the week to promote her new album, Confessions II, hosting an exclusive listening event with long-time collaborator Stuart Price and making surprise appearances for fans.
While fans may have been disappointed not to see the global superstar at Pride, many are now wondering whether another UK appearance could be announced later this year.
